We welcome new girls into our Reception as well as the girls stepping up from our Nursery. Thanks to our excellent child: adult ratio we provide bespoke individualised learning journeys for our girls. The curriculum is designed to develop a love of learning and instil the confidence to explore and ask questions. The girls continue to have specialist teachers for Spanish, Music and PE. Girls are encouraged and challenged to ensure they learn at their own pace with support and extension activities provided during every lesson. Parents are encouraged to be involved with their daughter’s learning with access to their daughter’s learning platform on Arc Pathway and termly newsletters detailing the curriculum for the term. By the time the girls reach Form I, they are beginning to see a more formal approach to lessons. They are confident and relaxed about their learning.
Form I leads seamlessly into Form II and suddenly your daughter’s time in Pre-Prep is over; what an incredible amount she will have accomplished in those three short years. At this stage, girls are reading and writing; their Maths has become more detailed and complex; they are speaking a little French and Spanish and thinking more seriously about Science, History and Geography. By now, they have sung, acted, tied themselves into gymnastic knots in the sports hall and mastered the intricacies of the computer.
In short, the girls are ready for the challenges of Prep School with its individual subject teaching and longer days.
